We will be doing Bath Road and River Street and all the way down to the Port facility next to the post office. We will also be embarking on improvement of sidewalks and drains in Roseau. As I have indicated, the private sector must play their part. We have seen what LIME has done with the sidewalks and we hope that others can follow”.He said the Delices/Petite Savanne roads will also be given some attention.“Place from Boetica and Delices are in terrible conditions. Vey critically would be widening some of the roads in Petit Savanne. Some of the corners are narrow and we need to improve the width of the road,” he explained. He said a number of other roads in the Roseau South constituency will also be given a facelift.“Castle Bruce, Carib Territory has become a major roadway so they will be done. We will continue the Morne Prosper Road, the Grandbay area too. Once the water project is completed in Lagoon Portsmouth, we will see major improvements to these areas,” he added. He said a complete construction of the river defense walls in St Joseph is expected to commence in two weeks. That project will provide opportunities for employment for the young people there, he said.Dominica Vibes Newslast_img
