Warnock ‘disappointed’ with QPR’s start

first_imgQPR manager Neil Warnock says he is disappointed with his side’s results during the first half of the season.Ranges are without a win in six matches and are only two places above the relegation zone ahead of a daunting New Year’s Eve clash at Arsenal.Warnock hoped for a better return in the opening months of the club’s first campaign back in the top flight and feels they ought to be comfortably nestled in mid-table.AdChoices广告“I’m disappointed we haven’t got another eight, nine or 10 points if I’m honest,” he admitted.“We’ve been in winning positions and not been able to close games, and there was the West Brom game where we had a perfectly good second goal disallowed.“You look back and think we should have more points. Even the Manchester City game I was disappointed we didn’t get at least one point from.”Warnock has been particularly unhappy with Rangers’ poor defending and his top priority is to sign a quality centre-back during the January transfer window.“We’ve got to make sure we’re strong enough in the second half of the season,” he said.“We need to improve defence-wise. I’ve got to make sure we improve the squad in that area and that’s what my main concern will be.”Follow West London Sport on TwitterFind us on Facebooklast_img
