Charles Woodson Has Brutally Honest Comment On Michigan’s 2018 Loss To Ohio State

In his three years at Michigan, the Wolverines topped the Buckeyes three straight times.The 1997 season was the highlight of his time at Michigan. Woodson had a 78-yard punt return touchdown in a 20-14 win over the Buckeyes. Michigan would go on to beat Washington State in the Rose Bowl to finish 12-0 and win the national championship.But since Woodson’s win over Ohio State in 1997, the Wolverines have beaten their arch-rivals only four more times.That terrible loss to the Buckeyes in 2018 will likely continue to sting until the Wolverines finally manages to beat them.Ohio State and Michigan are set to play in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Nov. 30. But to Michigan legends and superfans like Charles Woodson, it still hurts like it was yesterday.Speaking to Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News, Woodson reflected on the game and how much it hurt. He called the loss “embarrassing” and disappointing for the alumni and former players.“That was nasty. That was disappointing for somebody that’s been in the program and for somebody that’s a fan of Michigan football, for all of our alumni, for all of the former players, it was embarrassing.”In addition to being a loss of historic proportions, the loss also knocked Michigan out of contention for the Big Ten title and the College Football Playoff.
