British Airways Tests VR Entertainment on Select FirstClass Flights

first_imgStay on target First Class customers on select British Airways flights from London Heathrow to New York JFK can now pass the time in virtual reality.Through the end of this year, BA is providing a selection of films, documentaries, and travel programs in 2D, 3D, and 360-degree formats.Headsets from VR eyewear specialist SkyLights provide travelers with an immersive experience, whether the seat back is in the upright and locked position or fully reclined.“We are always looking at the latest technology to enhance our customers’ experience on the ground and in the air,” Sajida Ismail, head of inflight product at BA, said in a statement.British Airways is the first UK airline to trial this technology.
